Four Square Solutions™: The Future of Automated Warehousing
Four Square Solutions is Sonwil’s next-generation automation platform—an advanced technology development project nearing completion that represents a major leap forward in warehouse efficiency and scalability. Once fully operational, it will be the largest 4D automated warehouse system in the world, setting a new benchmark for dense storage, speed, and reliability.
Designed for rapid replication, the Four Square Solutions system enables Sonwil to deploy this automated model across North America—and potentially beyond—bringing the same performance advantages to customers wherever they operate.
At its core, Four Square Solutions is an intensely dense racking system powered by robotic pallet shuttles and vertical transfer units. By eliminating traditional forklift aisles and overcoming height limitations associated with forklift masts, the system can store more than twice—and in some cases nearly three times—the number of pallet positions within the same footprint. The result: dramatically reduced labor requirements and significantly higher storage efficiency.
While robotics and automation are becoming standard across the industry, Four Square Solutions is anything but ordinary. Unlike conventional automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), stacker cranes, and similar technologies, Four Square Solutions is engineered with full redundancy. There is no single point of failure, ensuring consistent uptime and operational resilience—an area where many automated systems fall short.
